We just purchased this 1949 Hudson from a Museum in Southern Oregon. Due to a Capital improvement call for renovation work, we lucked out securing a pretty cool piece of local history.

The car was originally owned by a fighter pilot in the Korean War. The family stored the vehicle for over 40 years, before a Doctor bought it and donated it to the Museum.

My Daughter and I first saw it 4 years ago while picking up a 1919 Speedster we bought from them. I knew then, the history alone was cool, yet the look of it was too much to resist. Every year, I have tried and failed to purchase this car. This was our lucky week!

The body had been in the process of being block sanded and prepped for paint. The engine/car has 24,435k documented miles on it. We have the original window sticker, bill of sales, financing papers, work orders, service records, etc. Everything that came with the car, to the Bill of sale from when we bought it, is in our possession.

The engines are built like tanks (not to mention the car) The 254.5 ci/128 hp 6 cylinder was considered fast at the time. The 3 speed manual 3 on the tree helped propel it down the road very nicely.

The interior has held up pretty good. Moisture from storage had something to do with the door panels warping a bit. They are intact enough to use as templates. The seats are in rather good shape considering the age. The wiring for ignition has all been redone by the museum. Right now, the car runs and drives down the road nicely.

As with all our shop cars, a plan for restoration will be put in place and executed. Since block sanding has begun, we will continue with that in the areas the Museum was working. A coat if black prime will be sprayed to protect the metal.

At Jim's Classic Garage, not only do we restore all types of old classics, but we also take on consignments, as well as buy and sell our own vehicles. The majority of them are our own cars that we buy, restore, and sell. All of our cars are bring sold at wholesale prices. We often negotiate extraordinarily good deals when buying these cars, and in turn, can sell them to the general public or even other classic car companies well below competitive blue book prices. In order to keep our warehouse size and expense minimal, we need to move the cars we have for sale fast. This means we can most likely negotiate on some of the cars we have for sale. Our descriptions and pictures of all cars are accurate and without unnecessary FUFU fill. What you see is what you get. Over 100 pictures have been taken of most cars. We will show you the good and the bad parts. We have been selling on eBay Motors for over 4 years. In that time, we have maintained a 100% rating from everyone we have bought from or sold to. This is a great testimonial when considering if what your buying from us is exactly what we are advertising. Please don't question our integrity when it comes to keeping your best interest in our forefront.
Sincerely,
Jim SullivanOwner of Jim's Classic Garage and Auto Restoration, LLC
