1951 Packard model 200 4dr. sedan. I purchased this car from a elderly man that had owned it for several years. He performed a good, but not perfect amateur restoration. Car is a very solid car that came out of Montana, and now is in North Central Wyoming.
288 cubic inch straight 8 was recently rebuilt and upgraded with 327 crankshaft and cylinders had an over bore. Runs excellent as long as you don\'t run ethanol type gas in it. Has 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. Overdrive works excellent. New brakes, shocks, tires, etc.
Has nice body and decent paint. Was repainted factory color combination of yellow with black top approx. 4 years ago. Previous owner said that the car was turquoise originally. Not a perfect car, but is a very solid, non rusty car. Bumpers were rechromed. Most trim is good. Grille has one crack. Some of the outer door handles are pitted, and there are small imperfections in some of the stainless trip....but overall, it is a nice looking car that draws compliments and thumbs up every time that I drive it.
Car needs a few odds and ends...ie needs domelight, speedometer is not accurate, and a couple of other minor odds and ends.
Car stops, drives well, starts good, and runs smoothly. Still a 6 volt system. Radio works well. Just a nice old car, but not going to win the Concourse de Elegance with it. Looks good enough that it might win a trophy at a local small town show.
Located in North Central Wyoming....100 miles from Yellowstone Natl. Park. Sold as is, where is...NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. You can drive it home if you wish, but since it is a 66 year old car, I would recommend trailering it long distances or having a support vehicle. thanks. Please ask any questions before bidding.
I WILL consider selling to overseas bidders, but it is up to you to arrange your own shipping, import fees, etc.
