History:

ThisStudebaker was purchased by Mr. R.C. Hutts of Roanoke, Virginia from the Jarrett – Chewning MotorCompany on March 20, 1951and remained with the family until purchased by our client. Included in the photographs are images of anotebook he compiled which contains many original documents. These documents include originalregistration, dealership information, Virginia State Inspection receipts-including the first and last Virginia State Inspections (the last inspectionwas in 1987, upon which time the car was removed from service. When it was returned to the road in 2008, it was registered as an antique).

Condition:

Excellentcondition. This very low mileage Studebaker has been selectively restored asnecessary to preserve as many of the original finishes as possible. The platedcomponents, as an example, are original and in beautiful condition. Thus, theseitems and the interior, trunk and under body remain in original, untouchedcondition.

The body has beencarefully refinished in the original color, and minor blemishes were removed. The car has no corrosion or collision damage and retains 100% of its originalinterior trim.

The engine wasgiven a light rebuild and has been nicely detailed in correct finishes. The carstarts instantly and runs perfectly.
