I am the 4th owner of the car, which originally came out of Virginia. I have a copy of the original title (along with a thick folder of work), and the intervening ownership documentation. She is said to be, originally, a moonshine runner and there is still a secret latch for the trunk. She then went to Michigan, and was then sold to Pasko\'s Racing in Wisconsin, from whom I bought the car. This was the final year of the pre-Nash Hudsons, and most of the parts went to Hornets. As such, this is one of 30 known Wasp Brougham Coupes, and one of 5 known to exist - I have documentation for this statement as well, from the Hudson/Terraplane Club. In Cumberland, Pasko\'s Racing did a complete overhaul of the mechanical and running gear to prep the car for a long drive:The original 232 was replaced with a 1954 Hudson 308 and built to 7X Nascar specs. The motor is balanced and blueprinted. It has .030 pistons, big, stainless valves. The block has a mild port job with 5/16 relief (just like Smokey Unick had), a Schneider racing cam, new tappets, twin H carbs and manifold, dual points, custom headers, and 3\" exhaust. It has an aluminum power dome head, all ARP studs and bolts (rod, mains, head), and a custom double roller timing chain. The motor was dynoed at 207hp, 37 over the high performance Twin H setup of the time, and 90 more than the stock 232. This car hauls ass...The transmission was swapped from the original 3 speed to a 3 speed with electric overdrive - 3 on the tree. Even with the 4.10 rear gears, she\'ll do 100mph, no joke. I\'m finishing up a disc brake swap for the fronts right now, and the rears are larger units swapped from a Hornet for performance. Tires are almost new 8.10x15 wide whitewalls. The car still runs its original 6 volt system, and will start right up when cold, in the middle of winter, whatever. She has an amazing exhaust note. After buying the car, I DROVE it home to Alaska from Wisconsin and have since driven her from Alaska to Miane, so I can safely say that she\'d be just fine to drive anywhere.Mechanically, the car needs nothing. She\'s ready to go. Gauges work, lights work, wipers work, etc.Physically, she\'s in good but original condition. Paint is nice but definitely worn. Chrome has some pitting. Interior is older and faded. Headliner is sagging a bit at the back. There is a little bit of bubbling on the bottom of the doors. The frame/underside is as rust free as you\'ll ever find. It\'s obvious she\'s lived a pampered life. She is a beautiful old car that is the perfect driver, and turns heads everywhere you go.Title is clear and in my hand, and located in Portland, Maine.
I can send more photos or videos if requested. Thanks for looking!
Make an offer! Worst I can say is no...
I might also be willing to trade for a Morgan 3 wheeler (or one of the 3 wheeler knock-offs), or a souped up classic Mini or Fiat 500.
