Yes, I\'am re-listing the car due to a non-paying Ebay non-compliant member from another country by the user name of Paulcamarg91. If you do not live in the United States of America, do not bid! If you do not have the funds, do not bid. If you have to ask you wife, bid often because a happy wife is a happy life. Please do not waste my time and or any other serious person\'s time who has an actual interest in the vehicle. I apologize to everyone for having to read that disclaimer, who has been a positive Ebayer. As you can see I have a great track record and have been doing it for years.
Selling my 1955 Buick Super Riviera 2 dr coupe that Ipurchased several months ago. I just bought another classic and this one has to go to another home. I purchased the Riviera in Pennsylvania in November. Drove it home through those long PA stretched highways at 80-85 mph and got stuck in NYC traffic doing 10-25 mph. During the 4 hr. trip the car didn\'t have any mechanical issues, it was like a tank. That\'s when I knew that this car was dependable like the previous owner bragged about.
The only issue I had was getting accustomedto the Bias Ply tires dancing when the roadway was in disrepair. Guess that\'s why we all use Radial tires now! The trunk is solid as you can see in the pictures. The tires are in good condition, so you don\'t have to swap them out at this time. Also has a matching spare with the same Buick Hubcap in the trunk.
According to the previous owner, the 322 Nailhead and the Dynaflow 2 spd transmission were both rebuilt and only have 800 miles at the time. He even issued me the Jasper lifetime warranty card for the transmission. He told me that he purchased the car from a fellow that was getting divorced. The car was in his garage and the engine/tranny were newly rebuilt on stands ready to get dropped in. He got the car, installed everything and that\'s all she wrote.
All new hoses, new front shocks, new brakes shoes, all the front end fittings were greased etc. The car is mechanically sound.
The original seats were in really poor condition, so a set of very comfortable Cadillac seats were installed. The headliner is perfect as you can see in the picture. The original dash is clean and all the safety features work (all dash gauges work, speedometer, lights, horn, emergency brake). Has an aftermarket radio underneath the dash, so the original dash wasn\'t cut up.
I had a set of Jamco 3 inch dropped coil springs installed all around to give it a lower stance, but not too low. Once in a while the exhaust pipe hits the frame if you get into a large pothole.
The car came equipped with factory power steering and power brakes.
The front windshield has 2 hazy spots on the passenger side of the window that do not interfere with your sight of line. The passenger\'s side window has a hairline crack, but they all are presentable and function properly.
The undercarriage is solid, and it doesn\'t leak any fluids. I don\'t waste my time and money buying cars that need floor/trunk work and or drivetrain repair. I had a bad experience once with a 63 Riviera that needed floor/trunk panels and motor work. It took me 6 years to redo the car while my friends enjoyed their cars at car shows. If you do not have the experience and extra money to rebuild a classic car do NOT buy a project just because it sounds like a great deal! Buy something almost complete that you can add your own personal touches to!
My plan for this Buick was to patina the car, flake the roof and pinstripe it. These Buicks look sick especially when you see that long swept body lines and big bumpers! It has a really classy hot rod look because it doesn\'t have any posts. You can drive it just like it is and be proud, definitely not a basket case or a project.
As I was ready to start the customization (waiting for all the snow to melt) I found a car that I\'ve always wanted, a black 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline 2dr coupe. So I have to let go of the Buick!
The car is located in Connecticut, so if your in the tri-state area feel free to take a look at it in person before bidding. The car is also listed locally and I have the right to remove it from Ebay at any time. I have an I-phone video of the car, feel free to call/text me for it and or any additional information at (203)521-7858.
The winner must communicate with me through Ebay email or phone advising me of your payment and shipping details. A Paypal deposit of $500.00 is due within 48 hrs. and the balance can be paid through Paypal or certified bank check. Once the check clears then the exact shipping dates can be scheduled.
I just had my Fleetline transported in an \"enclosed trailer\" from Texas to Connecticut (1600 miles) for $850.00, just shop around and be patient. Once the car is paid in full I can store it for a week or two, so you can get a better shipping deal!
Thanks,
Louie
