This car is 1955 that has been converted into a 56.The body is a 55 Customline that has less than 70,000 original miles on it.It was parked in a climate controlled garage in Kansas City in 1963 and until 1985 was only driven a couple of times each summer to local events.It was last licensed in 1985 until I bought it in 2012 to replace a 56 that was totaled in an accident.I have since converted it into what is 99% a 56.It is rust free and never been wrecked.The complete drivetrain is 56 .It\'s completely 12 volt.It has power steering and power brakes.The exhaust system is nearly new(Smittys).The interior of the car is now 56,including the dash and steering column and wheel.It has a VintageAir A/C,heat and defrost system.Radio is a CustomAuto Sounds AM/Fm cassette.Tires are Cooper radials with around 200 miles on them.All the trim on the car has been changed to 56,except the trunk emblems.Paint was a semi-professional job that is not perfect but looks pretty good.Everything works except the gas gauge(I have a replacement that goes with the car)and the windshield wiper cable has come loose under the dash and I;m no longer able to get under there to tighten the clamp.Like most of these old cars it has some oil leaks.The engine,power steering and transmission all have slight leaks,but none are bad enough that I\'ve ever worried about them.This is not super nice show car,bit is very good running and driving cruiser.A $500 deposit with Paypal is required within 48 hours and balance due within another 7 days.I\'ll accept cashiers check or personal check,with a 10 business day wait for the check to clear.Of course,cash will be OK,also.This car is located on I-70 in central Missouri,midway between St.Louis and Kansas City.I can deliver within about 500 miles for $2.00 a mile one-way,otherwise buyer is responsible for pick-up.
