1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Coupe
You are viewing a very nice and solid hardtop. The car was not restored off framedue to being such a good solid car. Thecar is primarily stock with a few upgrades.Runs and drives excellent. Ownedsince 2001. Really good driver car thatruns and drives excellent. Great hiwaycruiser.
Please read on for more particulars of the car: Body/Paint: The body is all original steel in excellent condition. Repainted 20 years ago using pearl and wineberry metallic. The body is in very goodcondition with no dents or dings. Thepaint is in very good condition and shows well.
Interior: Lots of originality with door panel, seat covers, dash pad andcarpet replaced. The headliner isoriginal in remarkable condition. Thedash is unrestored and looks very nice.All interior bright work is in very good condition. Padded dash and chrome trimmed headlinerstock on Holiday coupes. Modern radiounder the seat. Power steering. Originaltissue dispenser.
Running Gear: 324 Rocket V8, rebuilt and runs excellent. The transmission is an original to the carHydromatic 3 speed and has been rebuilt in the past. The rear end is al stock to the car. Alternator rather than generator. Runs and drives very nice.
Suspension: The underside is unrestored condition, but maintained. The frame is very solid with no rust rot. Rides nice for a heavy car.
Bright work: The front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. All other bright work is pretty much originalto the car in overall good condition with some signs of wear. Very light pitting in a couple chromeareas. Flood lights are nonfunctional.
Glass: All glass is in excellent condition.
Exhaust: Dueled off with glass packs.Lakers are nonfunctional.
Brakes: Stock drum brakes in good working order.
Wheels/Tires: Stock wheels and caps with newer radials and lots of rubber. 215/75/15 all the way around with spare andjack.
What doesn’t work: Original radio, clock, odometer just stopped working lastyear. Fuel gauge works but doesn’t readto full when filled up.
Summary: If you are seeking a solid driver that is reliable this car isworthy of your consideration. Good solidcar.
