This is a 1963 MERCURY COMET S-22 car. I am retired and purchased it as a project car in the fall of 2014. It has never been in an accident and is a straight car. The original inline 170 cubic inch 6 cylinder motor has been completely rebuilt with standard and rebuilt parts. It has about 101 HP. It has the original Merc-O-Matic two speed automatic transmission which was also rebuilt. The car starts, runs, shifts and drives just fine. The entire front end was rebuilt too. The brakes and tires are new and so is the exhaust system. The front of the car was painted by myself and as I am not a pro at paint it isn\'t great but it is acceptable. The rear and top of the car were just painted by a pro this year and it is very nice. The rear bumper was rechromed and many new chrome trim pieces were used. All the glass is good. The interior has new carpet, repainted dash, etc. The original radio was reworked and with a new speaker it sounds fine. The upholstery is original and quite good (no one is yet making new seat covers for this model S-22). The S-22 was the highest trim level available for the Comet and includes such things as special medallions, triple tail lights, bucket seats, center console, chrome trim, wheel covers, large turnpike cruiser steering wheel, and several other things to spiff her up. I am only selling the car because I simply do not use her and I just bought a Jeep as my next project. The side body stainless steel moldings are in the trunk along with some other extra new and used parts. It just needs a few small tweeks to make her a super nice car. I have a clear title to the car ready to be transferred. Feel free to ask questions.
