In the mid-1960s, Dodge’sintermediate-sized Coronet offered buyer’s several options. From the thrifty slant-six powered grocerygetter to the fire breathing 426 hemi, whatever your need, Coronet had ananswer. Of the performance-orientedpersuasion is this stunning, top-of-the-line 1965 Coronet 500 hardtop coupe.

A total restoration of a rust-free California car, this car was completely disassembled and stripped downto bare metal prior to being repainted in base coat/clear coat in its originalcolor of Medium Blue Metallic. Itsfinish is laser straight and shines brilliantly, as does its chrome andbrightwork. Vintage Cragar wheels and a hoodscoop provide additional pop.

The interior of this caris equally impressive, and features bucketseats finished in Blue saddle andtallow grain vinyl and a sporty centerconsole. You’ll also appreciate theconvenience of its storage bin and rare factory tachometer and power windows. A full battery of auxiliary Stewart Warner gauges will keep you informed about what’sgoing on under the hood. A complete Legendary interior, includingseating areas, carpeting, and headliner, was installed when this car wasrestored and appears showroom new. All interior brightwork was rechromed, and appearsnew, as does its recast and repaintedoriginal steering wheel. With theexception of the radio and emergency brake, all features work as theyshould—even the clock!

Under the hood you willfind a neatly detailed completely rebuilt1966 383 CID V-8 bored .30 over mated to a rebuilt 727 3-speed automatic transmission. The rear-end was also rebuilt. Other mechanical features and performanceenhancements include the following:

·Edelbrock intake

·Demon carburetor
