Ultra Motorsports is very pleased to offer this gorgeous Superformance MkIII Cobra replica (produced under the licensing of Carroll Shelby). For the traditionalist, this vehicle is certainly set apart from the rest. Classically finished in Indigo Blue with a Wimbledon White stripe, this car pays tribute to the original vision and creation of Carroll Shelby. There is nothing flashy or modern about the color scheme of this car, yet crowds will gather around your car in every parking lot. Perhaps... some things just never go out of style. Before we begin listing all of the performance parts used on this car, let us speak generally. When this car fires up, you can feel it in your chest. When this car fires up, babies cry. When this car fires up, dogs and cats run scared. This car is a beast.
Under the hood is a monster Roush 427SR (serial #0641) with a twisted-wedge cam. This allows for enhanced and more comfortable drive-ability in 1st and 2nd gear when running around town. The engine has a 9.5" deck, Dart 4-bolt main block with a #4340 internally balanced crankshaft. Aluminum heads, hydraulic lifters, Edelbrock dual-plane intake manifold with dual 770cfm Holley carburetors, and an MSD ignition ensemble round out whats under the hood. Let us also mention the "WOW" factor of the polished components under the hood. The transmission is a well trusted Tremec 600 5speed ( 0.82 OD 5th gear) with a Lakewood scattershield bellhousing and hydraulic clutch sleeve. A Ford/Dana IRS finishes it off.
All this power would be useless without Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners, Bilstein coil over shocks all the way around, and Halibrand style 15"/5 bolt TRUE knockoff wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich T/A Radials. This car is a rocket that stops on a dime and handles like a European exotic.
The interior is usually where people try to cut corners. A tremendous amount of thought and attention to detail went into the interior of this vehicle. Not only to pay homage to the traditional Shelby build, but to include comfort, elegance, and precision. A complete Smiths Instruments electronic gauge package (with correct reverse winding speedometer) was used as well as Lucas toggle switches. Leather wrapped steering wheel, German leather upholstery, driver and passenger seat harness, locking glove box, chrome fire extinguisher, and Superformance floor mats complete this immaculate interior. Also included is a Superformance tonneau cover and soft top with side curtain windows. These items are in mint condition and have never been used. Other tasteful options are the polished aluminum firewall, ceramic coated side pipes, and authentic Cobra and 427 badges. To the true enthusiast, a car built to this caliber leaves nothing yet to be desired. These details are the difference between a $40k car and a $70k car.
