1965 Pontiac Catalina 2 door hardtop coupe with fender skirts
389 automatic, runs drives strong
New carburator.
New plugs wires, points/condenser, newer battery, fresh oil, filter, air filter, fresh antifreeze, radiator looks to be newer and in great shape.
Interior needs work, seats in good shape and power seat works!-door panels fair, no headliner or package tray, needs carpet, has original seat belts
Comes with new lock and key set for doors and ignition, just purchased as originals were missing.
Body needs work in a few spots, front fenders have typical gm rust at bottom and some dings/dents, lower rear quarters need repaired, rockers and doors are solid. Needs paint, surface rust here and there. Chrome looks original and would need some re-chroming and such, weather stripping looks original and worn. Trunk floor was repaired and sealed, but done poorly cosmetically, I\'d put in a new trunk floor and do it correctly.
Basically a running and driving barn find that needs restoration to make perfect or drive and work on it as you go. I have been driving a little and its a blast to drive, sounds very quiet, strong running and shifting. Needs driven more to work out all the old car bugs, brakes pull alittle as drum do, still working very old gas out and has a slight \"chug\" here and there under wide open throttle, we put new premium full and sea foam in it and a tune up new carb and runs better and better the more I drive it. No smoke or leaks that I have seen so far. Smokes the tires at will from dead stop, very strong 389.
Found in a covered storage lot a few years ago after being there 11yrs, info from previous owner.
Has wear and tear from age and use, but a great classic. Has some body dings, blemishes, rust here and there, would need some body work to be made perfect or drive it as is. Very solid frame and floors from what I can see. Has a few minor old car issues, brakes pull, some old gas left in it.
