1965 Ford GT 40 CAV factory built replica, manufactured in2000. This is a meticulous re-creation of one of the most iconic vehicles ofall time. Current prices for an excellent condition genuine GT40 exceed fourmillion dollars, this low mileage faithful recreation ( a percentage of the parts are eveninterchangeable with the original) which performs as good or better than the originalwith modern creature comforts, can be had for a small fraction of the cost ofthe original ( reserve is well under 5% of the value of the original)
It spent some of its life in California and has CaliforniaSB100 smog exemption.
It is now registered and titled in Florida as a 1965 Fordwith antique Blue plates.
The GT40 is powered with a roller rocker 302 with aluminumheads and FAST 8 stack fuel injection reminiscent of the 8 stack Webercarburetors of that era without the hassle.
Transmission is a Getrag 5 speed unit with gated shifter.
15 inch Halibrand style wheels front and rear with safetywired knock offs.
Brakes are power disc front and rear.
Suspension is adjustable coil over shocks.
This GT40 is cooled by a C&R aluminum radiator with dualelectric fans controlled by the FAST module and manual override \"on\"dash switch.
Exhaust is piped through the \"bundle of snakes\"exhaust system quieted by dual Magna Flow mufflers with stainless heat shieldsfor the street. A straight pipe exhaust system is offered with the sale.
Steering is a manual rack and responsive with a quickrelease steering wheel for ease of entrance.
All of the plexiglass windows and light coverings have beenreplaced by polycarbonate (lexan) units directly from the CAV factory in SouthAfrica
