The restoration process for this 1966El Camino started nearly 10 years ago. The second owner had the enginecompletely rebuilt with mild performance features. .040 bore, .010 bearings,mild cam, new pistons, rods ground and polished crank. Edelbrock performermanifold and Edelbrock carburetor are added for increased performance. Lessthan 10k miles on the motor after build. A new TH350 transmission was added in2014, shift kit was added. Less than 2k miles on the transmission. The stockrear-end features 3.36:1 gear ratio
April of 2017 I acquired the vehiclewith the intent of completing the build in a \"resto-mod fashion. Customtwo stage paint was added by Martinez Auto body, including detailed body andprep work performed to the very original sheet-metal. All exterior chromepieces are genuine Chevrolet and have been re-chromed. Disc brakes were added to the 2\" loweredspindles along with a complete rebuild on the front end including new bushingsand shocks on all four corners. To improve the braking an 8\" vacuum powerbooster master cylinder was also added.
The selection of Vision 141 Legendseries 17\" 5 spoke wheels are surrounded by BF Goodrich G-Forcedirectional tires for performance and handling.
The interior features \" CustomAudio Vintage\" series stereo system. Stereo has bluetooth capabilities,USB and aux cord input. Combining Kenwood 6x9 rear speakers, 12\" subwooferpowered by a Pioneer GM-X302 amp and front kick-panel speakers delivers awonderful accent to the driving experience in the El Camino.
Newly reupholstered seat, added seatbelts, new carpet and headliner add design features that exceed the factoryoriginal interior.
Other features include newwindshield, bed liner, halagen headlights, custom steering wheel and handpainted exterior badging.
