1966 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Convertible
Yes! This is the Iconic 'Suicide Door' Ragtop often seen in movies and glorified by Hollywood Royalty, Top Politicians of the Era, and the Wealthy.
Our Lincoln is a Solid Driver with a recently replaced convertible top, fuel tank, and has gone through a mechanical inspection and tune up. This is a very good runner with functioning power options and a solid body.White exterior over the richly appointed leather interior, this Continental has incredible appeal. It is a 50 plus year old vehicle and though not a new car, this car has plenty of life in it for many Future Generations to come. The Continental is very solid, with straight lines and very little cosmetic blems.Top works beautifully, All actuators and solenoids trip perfectly and 'Voila' in seconds you're cruising down the road in your very own land yacht.Gauges all appear to be working as they should and car starts, runs, drives, and stops just like intended.Overall, this Continental is the type of car that continues to appreciate in value and you will benefit from owning, maintaining, and improving it over time.
Here's a tid bit of Lincoln Facts on the Continental. Every 1966 Lincoln Continental was designed to be a safer, more economical and enjoyable automobile. The clean design carries over into the rear with taillights, back up lights and turn signals all incorporated in the rear bumper. Offered again was the 4-door sedan and convertible but now a 2-door hardtop coupe was added to the line up. Vinyl roof colors were available in black, white and ivy gold while Convertible top colors came in black, white or blue. A new, smoother Twin-range Turbo-drive Automatic transmission was available with 3-speed planetary gear set with a 6-poistion selector dial. A new 462 cu. in. V8 engine was also available with an advertised horsepower of 340 at 460 r.p.m and 485 lb-ft of torque at 2800 r.p.m. 1966 Lincoln Continental Production and Specifications Model Number Body/Style Number Body Type & Seating Factory Price Shipping Weight Total Production Continental Series 82 53A 4-dr Sedan - 6P $5,750 5,085 lbs 35,809 86 74A 4-dr Convertible - 6P $6,383 5,480 lbs 3,180 89 65A 2-dr Hardtop Coupe - 6P $5,485 4,985 lbs 15,766 Chassis Data Model Wheelbase Overall Length Width Front Tread Rear Tread Tires Continental 126 in 220.9 in 79.7 in 62.2 in 61 in 9.15 x 15 Vin Number
