Up for sale is this rare survivor 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible with a matching numbers 289 V8 and C4 automatic transmission. I purchased exactly as it is now from a large Bankruptcy auction. It starts, idles, runs,drives and stops excellent. Mechanically It runs very nice, quiet, smooth and had a lot of power for a big car. I have drove it about 200 miles this summer with no issues. It\'s registered,inspected and insured. It does not smoke or have any fluid loss, or major leaks that i found.
ITS A CORRECT COLOR CODE WIBELDON WHITE WITHBURGUNDYINTERIORTHE ODOMETER READS JUST OVER 25,000 MILES AND THE PAPER WORK I HAVE ON THE CAR MATCHES THATTHE CAR RUNS, AND DRIVES GREAT THE POWER TOP GOES UP IN DOWN IN SECONDS.ALL THEGAUGESWORK EXCEPT THE GASGAUGETHE CARS PAINT DOES HAVE ITS SHARE OF CHIPS,SCRATCHES, PEELING, TINY DENTS, AND BODY REPAIR IN THE LOWER REAR QUARTER PANELS. AND SLIGHT SURFACE RUST SHOWING HERE AND THERE ON THE PAINT CHIPS WHERE BARE METAL IS EXPOSED I SEE NO SIGNS OF A COMPLETE REPAINT OR ACCIDENTS ANYWHERE.VERY NICE 50 YEAR OLD SURVIVORITS A GREAT RARE CAR THAT YOU CAN ENJOY NOW AND PAINT LATER IF YOU WISH.
