Description A big block V8 Mopar is a rare treat, but when you're looking to be a king amongst kings, you need this real-deal numbers-matching 1969 Dodge Coronet A12 Super Bee. Seriously rare (1 of 661) and carrying the famous Six Pack carbs on its 440 V8, you're looking at a restored hardtop that's true muscle car royalty.
The A12 was all about speed, so it's on a diet of minimal options to keep the weight down. But you also can tell they couldn't resist some muscle car flair. The factory-correct Bright Red is a rarer mid-year paint, and so they took the time to give it a nice modern clearcoat respray. That means when you take this out in the sunlight, it has the right shine to highlight the crisp sheetmetal and the seriously sporty rear fenders. And everything from the shine of the bumpers, to the way the door close with authority tell you this one has been given the right investments. But what you really love on this Super Bee it its dark side. The black vinyl roof and Super Bee stripe over the rear are factory-correct, and they have received the right attention so you'll love showcasing them. Plus, this goes well with the black steel wheel with factory hub covers. But the best black element is the hood. It's the special lift-off lightweight unit that the factory gave these A12 cars, and it truly reminds everyone it's a race car for the streets. All the dark elements of the outside are also a nice preview of the factory-correct black interior. You can tell there have been more great investment in this one just by the way the carpeting, door panels, dash, and headliner all have a fresh feeling. And the seats have a crisp presentation with the correct pattern. So you'll happily keep all the windows down on this pillarless hardtop to showcase this interior. This sea of black is tastefully broken up by the wood-like center console and sporty wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel. Plus, this has the right factory features still on display – from the rally gauge package to the AM radio.
Under the beastly hood is the best part of this whole package. It's the original numbers-matching 440 cubic-inch V8 with the legendary Six Pack on top. This is properly done with Hemi Orange paint on the block, valve covers, and air element that correctly seals to the hood. So the appeal of this tidy engine bay goes well beyond the thunderous exhaust note it produces. And as you dig deeper, the best details are correct, too – including the triple set of dual Holley carbs on the Edelbrock hi-rise intake. Mopar had some of the stoutest transmissions around, so the Torqueflite A727 three-speed can handle all this extra muscle. But don't forget this automatic is also nice for cruising. Drive it Home: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.
Documents & Vehicle Titles: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt.Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.
