1970 Ford Torino GT Fastback. 429 Thunder Jet. Numbers matching engine, transmission, and rear end. Rare options include; hideaway headlights, trackion-lok 3:00 rear axle (Ford 9 inch), laser stripes, hood scoop, power disc brakes, power steering. Rare original mint Kelsey Hayes steel wheels. 35,200 Original documented miles. Records dating back to 1978. Two owners. Garaged since new. Original un-restored survivor in excellent condition. Original window sticker and option sheet from dealer. Marti report. Bought new from McRoberts Motor Co in Gresham Oregon for $4149.20.
MOTOR- Numbers matching (N code) 429 Thunder jet 4v Motor. 360 hp @ 4600 rpm and 480 ft, lbs torque @2800 rpm w/ 10.5-1 compression. The horse power was under rated to keep insurance costs low. The actual horse power was closer to 400 H.P. 35,000 original miles. Holley carb, MSD ignition/distributor, electronic ignition. New battery, starter, voltage regulator, starter, starter solenoid. All new hoses, belts, plugs, cap, wires, complete tune up, all fluids changed. New correct radiator. Complete new exhaust system with Flow Master mufflers.
INTERIOR- 100% original interior. The interior is in excellent condition and shows minimal wear. Perfect headliner and carpets. The original front and rear seat upholstery is excellent. All gauges work properly. Original Philco radio works good. As seen in the pictures the original interior was well preserved to the car being garaged and its low mileage.
PAINT & BODY- This car has NO RUST. 100% rust free. The car has had one repaint in its original color of Medium Ivy Green Metallic. This car has never had any accident history. Door and body gaps are perfect. Very nicely preserved car with only minor rock chips and imperfections. Arrow strait body with no filler.
BRAKES AND SUSPENSION- I just had a alignment done. During the alignment the complete suspension was thoroughly inspected. All of the front end rubber (bushings, tie rod ends, a arm bushings ect.) are in excellent condition. Updated rear shocks. The car drives excellent.
OTHER- Rare Kelsey Hayes steel wheels with original paint (dark metallic grey). BFG tires (90%). Original dog dish hubcaps and beauty rings. jack, spare rim, jacks, lug wrench, and keys. New gas tank. The hideaway headlights work perfectly.
35k original miles. Documented history dating back to 1978. I have a huge stack of records/ receipts that documents the original mileage. This car runs and drives excellent. Many hours have gone into the preservation of this car. This is a very rare original low mile un-restored muscle car. Very few were ordered with the 429 4V motor and hideaway headlights option. Original window sticker and option sheet included. Marti Report. I have very regretfully decided to sell this car out of my private collection to finish up other restorations. The Torino runs and drives like new. The car needs nothing.
