1971 DODGE DART 340 SWINGER, MOPAR, ROADRUNNER, DUSTER, CHALLENGER, CUDA - Let\'s be clear.....this is a 1970 Dodge Dart 340 Swinger Tribute. It is nicely done. You better have a sharp eye to dispute it. Mainly, 1971 headrests and seat belts are the give-aways. This started with a 1971 Dart custom, then removed the running gear and 340 Swinger-related items from a major rusty 1970 Dart 340. This is a fresh build. Although, the B5 paint is about two-years old as other projects took my time. This is not a project, it is ready to go!! It is impossible to build this car for the asking price.
The engine, 727 Trans, 3:23, 8-3/4 rear, and K-frame are 1970 correct. The engine is bored 30 over running 10-1 compression, X-heads with hardened seats. Comp Cam 480 lift, Edelbrock intake, 750 Edelbrock carb with electric choke, ceramic coated flowtech headers, re-built 727 trans with B&M holeshot converter and flexplate, stock rear, retains proper small bolt wheel pattern with four-piston disc on front and drums on rear. They are both re-built and work excellent. The front suspension and steering related parts are new including the power steering gearbox. This car drives great with no wondering and stops straight, very solid ride and no strange noises.
Please study the pictures closely at the detail throughout this car. All body gaps are nice. The doors shut like a new car as do the hood and trunk. Believe it or not all of the weatherstrips and interior upholstery, including seats, carpet, package tray, headliner, door panels and trunk mat are 1971 original and in excellent condition. The Rallye dash has been re-chromed and looks great. The key buzzer, electric windshield washer, three-speed wipers, and AM radio work. All lights, signals, horn, and heater work. All window glass is nice and align properly. Please note all gauges work, but the fuel gauge is reading low.
I cannot stress enough to study the pictures as it is not possible to list everything done to this car in the last four-years. It has stock-type mufflers and proper exhaust tips. it sounds great! And yes, it will get sideways!
If you have any questions, please contact me as I built this car and will give you honest answers. Also, included is the build sheet, purchase order and copy of the title (was a ONE-OWNER CAR), fender tag, etc. I do notconsider this a perfect car, but a great cruiser and an excellent buy! It has about 200-miles on the restoration.
Clear title in-hand. For additional information, contact Rick at 304-261-1643. I reserve the right to end the auction early.
