In the last few years we have taken the body off of this car in order to address all of the body and frame issues that typically lurk beneath the surface on these TR6s. This car has been totally sorted in that regard and is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come. While it is not a show car, all of the rust has been removed and properly replaced with new metal, meaning that the car is incredibly structurally sound.
This is a car that we have owned for several years and that was subject to major work during that time. The car was purchased as a good driver quality car. After we purchased it, we removed the body from the frame and did over $10,000 worth of repair work including replacing the floor pans, new upper and lower control arms, front brake calipers, tie rod mounts, new clutch, resurfaced flywheel, new rear main seal, new pressure plate assembly, fork shaft bushings and bearings, new clutch slave and master cylinders, new transmission mounts, and proper removal and replacement of rusted metal on frame. After all of this work, including painting the underside with proper chassis paint, the body was re-mated to the frame and that is how the car sits now--totally ready to be driven and enjoyed.

The car is still considered a driver quality car, and it is not perfect. The radio is not working, some of the interior panels are showing some wear and could stand to be replaced. The top is in nearly new condition. The car runs strong, makes good oil pressure and does not over heat. The suspension and clutch are largely brand new. Cosmetically the car is tidy and presentable but not perfect. The paint and body do have some flaws but are beyond nice enough for the car to be driven and enjoyed.
