I bought this 1972 Dodge Dart in 2006. I drove it on a regular basis for the first few years of ownership. Its been in dry storage for the last 4 years. I wanted to do a V8 4 speed conversion but I have too many other projects and no time to work on this one, my loss your gain. This Dart is almost all stock as far as I can tell. The interior is in good shape for being 45 years old. The rear seat seems to have the original cover. The upper rear seat is starting to tear at the seam. The front seat is in good shape also. Only the head rests have cracks. Thebottom of front seat and seat back have no cracks or tears. The dash padhas cracks and will need to be replaced. The Fuel, Water Temp, Alt, and Speedo gauges all seem to work fine. It does have a couple of dash lights out (easy bulb replacement). The heater works well and so does the horn, head lights, tail lights, brake lights, side marker lights,wipers, fasten seat beltlight and buzzer, driver side open door buzzerand wiper washer sprayer. It still has the build sheet on the inside of the glove box, I never removed it. The radio does not work. It may just need a new speaker.I am not sure if the carpet is original it was in there when I bought it. The driver\'s side has some wear. I changed the oil and oil filter, installed new tires,installed a new master cylinder, 4 new wheel cylinders, replaced the rear brakes, it needs the front shoes and drums replaced,added new u-joints and installed a new battery. The engine runsstrong and it goes down the road straight, stops fine but I would still trailer it home. The engine and transmissionpans both leak.Like I stated it has been in storage for the last four years. I did some of the basic items to make it work and drive well again but this is a used 45 year old vehicle. I also have the original wheel covers but I did not put them back on because I like the way the black powder coated wheels look. The outside body is in good shape for being original and for its 45 years of age. It has some rust, dents, scraps and scratches. Its missing a few emblems. The rear quarters will need to be replaced. The trunk pan has some rust but nothing major. It has not rusted through and seems to be solid. The frame is solid it has no rot. The chrome on both bumpers is in good driver condition. The front grille is in great condition. The windshield is pitted and it also has a crack in it. Theside glass is original. The rear glass has been replaced at some point in its life. It came with a black vinyl top that has been removed. The roof has a few tiny rust holes and is pitted in a few areas. A good body shop should be able to repair the damage. I tried to list everything I could think of. I\'m sure I left a few things out. If you have any questions please ask. Look at pictures before biding. This Dart would be a great vehicle to turn into a V8 or keep all stock and drive as is.
