1981-88 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme/Salon/442 Chrome Body side Molding Trim Replacement. Closest you will come to OEM. Now you no longer have to delete the molding when restoring your Olds simply because the factory ones aren't worth saving once they are removed. This Auction is for White/Chrome.
Installation is quick and easy, without drilling, by using self-adhering 3M Tape. Our classic moldings hold up very well to the weather, however for further protection against lifting, consider sealing all cut ends with sealitpen click hereCheck my other auctions for alternate colors. You can use the finished ends on front and back and using Anvil Shears (Ronan Blade Cutter is Ideal) use a cut edge in between. This is guaranteed High Quality.

Below is a pic of a faded white oem piece from a fender piece from a 1984 Cutlass Supreme next to the new molding for comparison.Below is the inside end of the same molding of the same Cutlass Supreme.
As you can see it has a 90° Cut from factoryHere is the back end of the door molding on the same molding
with a 45° cut. The front end has a 90° cut Are moldings will have the same color inside as it does outside.
For added protection use a clear acrylic end sealer over the cut ends.
A pair of Anvil cutters can be used but a pair of sharp shears will work as well.Instructions:
For best results it is recommended to clean the surface prior to installing. You could do it without cleaning and it may or may not last depending on how dirty the surface is. 3M makes excellent adhesive material but the adhesive is only as strong as what it bonds to, and if that happens to be dirt and oil then you will be relying on dirt and oil to stick to the paint.for bests results temp of car should be at least 70 degrees f.
Preferably when humidity is at it's lowest.
Clean surface with a non oily general purpose wax and grease removal-such as 3m general Purpose #08984 followed by isopropyl alcohol. If you do not have the wax and grease remover, make sure the car is clean and use isopropyl Alcohol alone. Apply pressure on the molding as you go to make sure the seal is tight.The finest automotive quality materials. Installation is quick and easy, without drilling, by using self-adhering 3M Tape.For best results surface must be cleaned preferably with Isopropyl Alcholol. Ideally in a low humidity environment.
