I have listed a 1986 Monte Carlo SS that I acquired from a friend that was having financial issues, I bought the car to help him out andI am selling it for what I have into it. This car is well worth thestarting price.

He bought the car as a toy and did a ton of work only to lose interest and put it in long term storage. The car did not see the light of day for over 12 years. I did help him with most of the work and I know quite a bit about the car so please feel free to ask any questions.

Before losing interest,

-Small block 350 crate engine (no mods, bone stock crate motor. Numbers are from a 1979 truck. Engine was fogged before storage, no cylinder rust).

-TCI turbo 350trans from Summit Racing (shifts hard and chirps 2nd and 3rd).

-New brakes all the way around

-New radiator, hoses ect.

-New door and trunk seals.

-New wheels & tires (while in storage the tires and wheels were removed and an old steel set had been installed).

-Custom interior, trunk and paint (aftermarket gauges (Autometer) installed. Speedometer is off & needs acable gear change and fuel level is off, the gauge is adjustable and needs to be set to vehicle sending unit).

Too much extra to list. All modifications done to this car were done at the same time the gauges were changed & the odometer reads 2800 miles, the parts are old but have very low miles. The car was not built to race and has never been to the track.

Before buying the car I stuck a boroscope in the cylinders to check for rust, absolutely none !

I added fresh fuel and drove the car home. When I got it home I replaced the heater core, heater blower motor, flushed the fluids, replaced the spark plugs, rebuilt the carb and flushed the fuel system. I have put over 500 miles on this car since taking delivery without issue. This car would make a great cruiser or a perfect resto mod.

-The floor and trunk are solid.

-The doors rusty and if you are doing a restoration they will need to be replaced.

-The trunk has a rust bubble just left of the license plate (see pictures).

-The wheel wells are in great shape (see pictures) but lower panels have small bubbles.

-Windows are slow and most likely need motors.

-Car has small dents and dings, no major body damage or accidents.

I keep the car on a battery maintainer and drive it when the weather is nice, the car has not seen rain or snow in at least 12-13 years. I also have a box of parts (hood hinges, side mirrors and other small odds & ends).

I offer no warranty on this car, it is sold as is cash and carry. Non refundable deposit if $500 due within 24 hours of auction ending, final payment due before picking up car.If you want to have the car shipped, I willhelp load and will take pictures before it is put on truck, you must make the shipping arrangements. Please look closely at pictures and ask any questions before bidding. I have a clean title in my hand, good luck and happy bidding.

I have not even cleaned this car, it still has dust on it. Farm fresh find.
