Fresh off the Power Tour, We built it and then drove it 2109 miles to complete the long Haul. The car did awesome, So lets get the normal stuff out of the way, Has Power windows, Power seats, Air isn\'t hooked up, Cruise isn\'t there, Other then that car runs and drives great. Car shows 173000 Miles.
The motor is a 71 Stage 1 model 455 that is .030 over, Deck is zero decked, Heads cut .020, Big cam, I believe it\'s a poston 107A but can\'t remember, I didn\'t build the motor, but we did freshen it in the spring, so it\'s got around 5000 miles on it, Sounds mean, Aluminium Radiator with dual Electric fans, Car will run at 185 if it\'s 90 degrees and you set in traffic for an hour, I know because we did.. LOL. Has long tube headers, into 3 inch exhaust, that dump at the rearend, Tranny is a 700r4 that we had built, shifts VERY firm, 2300 stall, with lockup. Rear end is a GM 8.5 With a new Yukon brand Posi with 4:10 gears, runs 2300 at 70. Gears have 2200 miles, put them in before we left. Wheels and Tires are 20x10 rear with 275/40/20 fronts are 20x8.5 with 235/35/20, handles good, rides good. Car ran 13.5 at 99.7 with a 1.90 60 ft, First time we had it on the track, Pretty sure with some tweaking it would get into the mid 12\'s and it weighs 4600 lbs.
The body and interior are decent, has a small spot of rust on left quarter panel, you can see it in the picture, we filled it and primered it before we left. The trim is held on with screws, it was like that when we got it, but works. Dash isn\'t crackes, New window tint, No tears in the seats, the drivers rear window needs guides, it rolls down, but needs help going up, This old car wasn\'t built to be a show car, It was built to go on Powertour and be something different, and it did exactly that, we made the Hot Rod website for people haulers, We were invited to a photo shoot for Longroofs, everyone that came by had some cool comment about it and everyone took pictures, now it\'s time to build one for next year. You can go to Lean to Customs on youtube and watch some videos of the old car, I think day 6 has the drag strip, but check them out and like and subscribe, any more questions you can call me. My name is Bruce my number is 417-459-6773
The 67 Belair also made the longhaul trip, It is for sale also, Call or text if you need more info.
Last thing, it will need a carb, I\'m keeping my 1000, I\'ll put an old 600 edelbrock on it for you to load it or drive it, Also I forgot to mention the speedometer isn\'t hooked up, needs a transponder box from Dakota digital to make the tranny talk to it, 85.00 I just ran Gps. I\'ll deliver within 500 miles of springfield for 1.50 mile one way
This car is also for sale locally, so I may end the Auction at anytime, reserve is set at what I have in the Motor and Tranny, if it\'s not worth that I\'ll keep it. Thanks and Have a great Day, remember to check out Lean to Customs on Youtube for videos.
