1996 Chevy Caprice 9C1 with 121,000 Miles. This is a RUST FREE California Car. LT1 350.
The car is driven daily and has many new and recently replaced parts including: tires, brake pads and rotors, battery, alternator, wiper blades, A/C cycle switch, A/C Compressor, A/C Dryer, fuel fill hose, and headlights. A wheel alignment and tire balance on 7/19. When I purchased the car the previous owner stated that the engine and trans were rebuilt, but I have no paperwork to prove this.
The car runs, drives, and stops excellent. The engine does not smoke or use any oil. I had the car repainted in May 2017.
There are a few small issues with the car. The check engine light is on show an oxygen sensor code. The digital speedometer display goes off periodically. The springs are worn out and squeak some times. Lastly someone tried to steal the car this summer. They broke out 2 windows, damaged the ignition switch and dash pad. I replaced both the broken widows, but I have not had time to replace the ignition or dash pad. The ignition stills works with the key, but the ears are broken off. See photos.
This is trulya great car and I hate to get ride of it, but I do not have the room to store it through winter. I have owned it for about 2 years and drove it 400 miles a week commuting for work.
The car was originally a California Highway Patrol vehicle in the Bakersfield, CA area.
