Hi,
I\'m selling my 2008 Dodge Viper ACR because I am buying a house and would like to free up some money. It pains me to do so because it\'s by far my favorite car I\'ve ever owned. This is a very rare car and has not been beat to hell on a race track or wrecked like many ACRs. Always garaged and adult owned. As you may know, the Viper has been discontinued and prices are on the rise as collectors are beginning to appreciate these hand built American supercars. I have had Corvettes, Cobra Mustangs, Porsches, other Vipers, etc but nothing I\'ve ever owned stops traffic like this car.
I will try to be as detailed as possible so please read the entire ad.
Details:
-1 of 179 Viper ACRs made in 2008
-1 of 40 made in the black with red \"driver\'s stripe\" color scheme. This is in my opinion the best color combination on this car and is highly sought after.
-39k miles
-Clean Kansas title in hand
-4 owners with clear Carfax and NO ACCIDENTS OR PAINTWORK (I have owned 5 Vipers and trust me it is very hard to find one of these cars that hasn\'t been in some sort of accident or had bodywork done)
- 8.4L V10 600 HP
-The car is mechanically perfect. No warning lights are illuminated on the dash. Runs like a Viper should (very fast) and the transmission shifts like new. No grinds, leaks, smoke or any other issues. AC blows cold and the heat works great. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
-Fresh oil change around 2k miles ago with Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic (costs about $150 on these cars due to 11 quart oil capacity)
-Michelin Pilot Sport tires all the way around with good tread left
-Brand new Duralast battery
-The car had a no expense spared detail at a cost of over $1000 around 6 months ago by a shop that specializes in detailing high end cars. The paint and body work are nearly flawless (see pictures).-Had a 100 point inspection by a certified Viper tech before I took delivery, passed with flying colors. I have the paperwork for it
-The wheels do not have any scratches, chips or imperfections.
-The interior is like new. The leather and suede seats do not have any wear on the bolster, stains rips or tears in the suede. Often on these cars the driver\'s seat bolster is worn and collapsed but not on this one. The dash has no cracks.
-I have all owners manuals, both sets of keys and key fobs for the car
Modifications:
-ACR \"X\" winglets on front end
-Real carbon fiber door sills with Viper logo
-Carbon fiber \"look\" dash (have the stock one as well if you\'d prefer it)
-MGW short shifter with red Viper logo shift knob
-Brand new floor mats with red Viper logo
-Have two steering wheels for the car. The one on it is from a \"regular\" Viper. Previous owner preferred it to the ACR steering wheel because it is thinner. I have the factory ACR steering wheel in storage and it comes with the car
Issues:
-Some small rock chips on the front end and behind the front tires (common on Vipers)
-The stereo works great but the subwoofer was disconnected by the previous owner. It can be reconnected but you have to take the driver\'s seat out to do so and I never felt like messing with it.
That should cover about everything. Like I said, the car is in very nice condition. Take a look at the pictures.
These Vipers are getting hard to come by in this condition and no \"stories.\" Fewer than 600 were made from 2008-2010 and many of those have been totaled in crashes, converted to race cars or just generally beat to crap.
Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing early. I will work with a buyer to ship the car but shipping will be the buyer\'s expense.
