Beautiful 1966 Corvette roadster in AMAZING condition being offered at NO Reserve. I have original documents (Protecto-Plate, books, invoice from the dealership in Scottsdale, AZ, other misc early paperwork, down to the original salesman\'s business card) See Pictures. This car has some rare options: 427 390 HP big block, 4 speed transmission, power windows, and AC. According to the previous owner (who had the car since 1967) the paint is original, with the exception of one area that was re-done sometime in the late 70\'s due to a \"minor tragedy\" with his son and a ladder in the garage- they had to repaint the left front fender. I had a few shops look at the car over 5 years ago when I bought it, and most recently a Corvette specialist in TX who said that it appears to be the original paint as well. It has always been garage-kept and well cared for, the paint is shiny and looks great from 10 feet away, but it is by NO means perfect and the left front fender has faded differently over the years than the rest of the car- it actually has a \"pink\" hue to it (you can see in pictures if you look at an angle), and there are several little touched-up spots from chips. The car deserves a new paint job, but so many people have told me that to see it in its original paint is too cool, even though you can actually almost see through it from years of waxing in some spots- I\'ll leave the decision to paint it to the new owner. I believe that the seats and carpet must have been re-done at some point because they\'re in excellent condition. The convertible top has a small hole (patched but still there, about 1/2\" round) on the passenger side, but it\'s in good shape other than that. The car hasn\'t been driven much in the last 4-5 years (less than 50 miles in fact; sad, I know) so I took it to a Chevy/Corvette specialist shop to have it gone over and make sure that it was running/driving good, etc. They did about $1,200 worth of maintenance. It runs, drives, shifts, stopsand soundsGREAT now. The mechanic said that it actually still had the original wheel bearings and seals- said they looked like wax inside! They changed those of course, did a major brake job (pads, caliper, flushed the system), drain/replaced fuel, flushed the cooling system, replaced spring cushions, steering rag joint, column clamp, checked/changed oil and fluids, etc. There will be other things that need done mechanically too- this is just what I know of, if you start driving it regularly I\'m sure there will be more: AC is the original factory compressor and components (I wanted to change it out for a modern unit, but they told me not to because the original compressor is rare and can probably be re-built) so it\'s not working, heater was by-passed years ago,the tachometer doesn\'t move, the trip set is stuck, the clock will sometimes start up and go for a while but always stops, the radio doesn\'t work, fuel gauge reads 1/2 tank even if it\'s empty, but will register full when you fill up, just doesn\'t go down past 1/2. The lights work, but the switch can be tricky at times, so sometimes they don\'t want to go up/down without fiddling with it for a while.

That\'s all I can think of off hand, I would be happy to give the winning bidder or serious buyers the name/number of the shop that did the recent work, and can scan/email you their invoice and business card so that you can talk with them if you\'d like to get their opinion of the car, what it needs, etc. This is a very large Corvette specialty shop in TX, and the owner was very fond of the car. He said it was very hard to find a car like this, and was impressed with the fact that it has all of its original body panels and is truly rust-free. I mentioned to him that a different shop had said that it is a \"no hit\" car as well, so he went over it to make sure and the only thing he found was that at some time the rear bumper had been pushed in slightly. He said it wasn\'t even enough to warrant any type of repair, but he could see under the rear bumper where it attaches to the car that it might have been tapped at \"about 2 mph\" in his opinion. This is a very low mileage car, with less than 45k showing on the odometer; however, the previous owner said that there was a time in the 80\'s when the speedometer/odometer stopped working (he had them fixed) and the car may have 5-10k miles more than what it says, so we can\'t say that it\'s \"actual mileage\" but you can tell by looking at it, and how many of its original components and parts that would have typically been replaced by now are still intact- that it is a low mileage car. The car was originally sold new in Phoenix, AZ at Courtesy Chevrolet and lived in Scottsdale most of its life, then moved to Tucson/Southern AZ and had a brief stay in a garage in TX, this car has NO rust, the frame is solid, the chrome is beautiful, glass is excellent.

Here are some of the numbers that may be of interest, I have been told various thingsregarding numbers by different people, it seems like everyone that I talk to hassome \"opinion\" of what numbers should be, and which ones matter. I honestly couldn\'t care less and I don\'t know anything about deciphering them. If it matters to YOU, you\'ll have to do your own research. If you need any additional numbers or you want to make sure that I read them right(there is almost 50 years of grease and dirton some of these numbers) I welcome and RECOMMEND that you come and see the car for yourself or send a professional who knows where everything is and what to look for. If this was a Vintage Airstream then I could tell you everything about it, but I\'m no expert when it comes to classicCorvettes. I have posted pictures of the factory plates attached to the car under the glove box andprotecto plate, but here are the numbers from those, the engine, rear-end, etc:

S2510 Body

984AA Paint

Engine (this # is forward of the RH cylinder head): T0116IL, on the bottom near the starter is L287, near the firewall on the driver\'s side there is what I would call a casting number (it\'s larger than the others) and it is 3916321.

Rear End: A⎳113065

Carb: \"Rochester Quadrajet\" 412046

Alternator: 1100750 61A

Take a look at all of the pictures, they describe it better than I can, and Please feel free to contact me any time if you need any additional info, would like to come and see the car, or just have questions: 520-404-1975 cell. (Heather Anderson).Mybusiness islocated in Southern AZ near Fort Huachuca (about an hour SE of Tucson), right on highway 90, and my house is not far off of I-10 in St. David, AZ, both places are easy to get to and the car will always be at one place or the other. ALSO: If you\'re in the market for an Airstream please click on the \"other items\" link at the top right of this page to see my other auctions!

***PLEASE NOTE: I recently sold a high-dollar Airstream and had a long chat with a lady who was unable to bid up to the amount that she wanted to because of a limit that was IMPOSED BY EBAY on her account. After speaking with Ebay at length, I learned that Ebay will impose bidding restrictions RANDOMLY and without notifying the account holder. She placed her bid and received a strange \"error message\" from Ebay, and since she waited until the last minute to bid, it was too late by the time she found out and could contact Ebay to change her bidding limits. I have heard the same story from other bidders in the past, but thought little of it until I spoke directly with Ebay and confirmed this policy. Getting in touch with someone at Ebay via telephone can be difficult, but their number is available on their customer support page. If you intend to bid on this or ANY other higher dollar items, you may want to make the effort to contact Ebay by phone to check for limitations that may be on your account.***

I am a licensed/bonded AZ auto dealer... NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license, but this is MY car, not something that I\'m selling as a dealer, this is a private sale. I am a classic car and Airstream nut, I also have a ranch/wedding venue, horses, trailers, etc... let\'s just say I bought and sold a few too many for the state\'s liking, and due to the fact that they need revenue desperately- they decided to fine me when I sold a few more that what I\'m \"allowed\", long story short- I jumped through all of their hoops and got my license.

Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction\'s end, and thecar must be picked up within 15 days of payment (unless other arrangements have been made). Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before thecar leaves my sight. Please check my feedback, you\'ll see that I don\'t sell very many vehicles- but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold over the years. I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a \"consignment\" type of sale. I have never liked most car dealers and am not all that thrilled to be \"one of them\".

*** This is a USEDVEHICLE andis being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Thiscar is inwonderful condition, but please be realistic- it\'s nearly 50 years old!! Again, please call me with any questions or to come see it: 520-404-1975.I would welcome and recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection. I will make it available throughout the auction for any and all inspections, just call and we\'ll set up a time. Please understand that the description is only my opinion, yours may be different, I have done my best to take many pictures and describe thecar to the best of my ability. Just remember, we all tend to look better in pictures than in person- that\'s just the way it is! If you\'re expecting the paint to look like it does in pictures, DON\'T. It really DOES need a paint job. This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Great State of Arizona as they apply to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Arizona between Arizona residents, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree that any claim or dispute you may have against the seller must be resolved exclusively by a state or federal court located in Cochise County, Arizona, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within Cochise County, Arizona for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes.*** I reserve the right to end this listing at any time for any reason (in accordance with EBay\'s rules) as thecarWILL be listed for sale locally as well.*** Payment methods accepted must be in the form of Certified funds, bank wire-transfer, or cash in person. Due to concerns of fraud, if you\'re paying via cashier\'s check, it must clear my account before the Corvette/title leaves my sight. I do NOT require any immediate deposit; I DO however, require CONTACT with the buyer within 24 hours of winning the auction, just send me an email or give me a call so that I know who you are, etc. If there is no contact, I reserve the right to sell thecar to the next bidder. Email through Ebay or call my cell any time at 520-404-1975.

PLEASE NOTE:I do NOT send \"Second Chance Offers\"- if you get one, please report it to Ebay and do NOT respond. There is a scam going around right now that everyone should be aware of, and it involves second chance offers. Just remember, if you get any email that \"says\" it\'s from ebay, it will be in your \"Ebay messages folder\", if it\'s not there- it\'s probably a scam.

**Taxes: This is considered a private sale in AZ, no taxes will be due here. You may have to pay taxes in your home state or Country of residence when you register the car, buyers are responsible for any/all fees in their place of residence.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction and good luck bidding!!

On Feb-23-15 at 22:39:48 PST, seller added the following information:

I have had several people ask me the same questions, so here is a little more info: I have been told where to look for the transmission numbers, and today jacked the car up some and looked, scraped off nearly 50 years of grease and dirt under there, and found only 2 places where there were numbers, and I\'m not sure that these are the numbers that most people are looking for, but this is ALL that I could find, I even had someone else look, but we found what looks to be a \"casting\" type of number, it is: 3885010, and there is a metal tag that\'s bolted onto the transmission as well, the number on that tag is 879668. Also, I have had some requests for undercarriage pictures, and I have some that I can forward if you\'d like to email me. I\'ve had questions about \"if it needs paint\"- YES it needs paint, it IS nearly 50 years old. I\'m getting a lot of questions that are answered if you read the entire description as well. I just had someone ask me when the car was restored, someone else asked me to take the heads off and look for some numbers... really?? I appreciate the valid questions and interest, and don\'t want to seem crass, but please understand that I have no intention of dismantling my car- but I will try to find things that you need if I can, and take pictures of what I can get to- and again, you\'re welcome to come see the car any time during the auction or send your mechanic, etc. Just call or email me. Thanks again.
