This is a completely rebuilt 800 cfm 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Quadrajet carburetor that is calibrated for use on good running 403 or 400 engines that were standard in 1978 Trans Ams.All new USA made parts include float, high output ethanol resistant accelerator pump, pull off, gaskets, seals, secondary cam, springs, fuel filter, gasket, high flow needle and seat. Rebuilt by Thomas High Performance Quadrajets. We've been in business since 1980. We are diehard Pontiac fanatics. We've owned them and raced them since the 1960's. Upgrades: APT (adjustable part throttle) tuning screw is accessible by removing set screw on the air horn.Bronze throttle shaft bushings installed to prevent vacuum leaks at idle.Main well plugs sealed with our special epoxyAll parts are coated to prevent oxidation Check the photos to make sure this carb will fit your application. I include an installation and tuning sheet with each order. I strive to make these old and very used Quadrajets work better than new by using quality parts made in the USA. Each carb is completely disassembled including the idle downtubes which are resized. I use a 2000 psi high pressure cleaning cabinet to get all the gunk out of every passage. If something isn't right, please let me know. This carb was tested and is ready to bolt on, set mixture screws, and adjust idle speed.
