1967-68 Pontiac Replacement Dual-Line Fuel Sending Unit

This listing is for one new replacement fuel sending unit. After years of selling these sending units on our website, we decided to reach a larger audience by putting them up for sale on eBay.

(includes rubber gasket and retaining ring)

Fits All 1967-68 Pontiac Full Size Cars

Catalina, Ventura, 2+2, Bonneville, Executive & Grand Prix.

Type: float style

Flange Size: 3 5/8\"

Height: 6\" fit into the fuel tank

Lines: 3/8\" fuel line & 1/4\" vapor return line

These sending units are a replacement unit, not an exact reproduction. The original unit was a canister type, but they were prone to failure. Is the float type better? Yes, it is more reliable, but since the fuel tank does not have a baffle the fuel gauge will change when you go uphill, downhill or around a corner (like most other cars of the 1960\'s). Also the fuel line is a bit shorter (use a little longer fuel hose).

We are selling dual-line (vapor return line type) and single-line fuel sending units on eBay in separate listings. What type do you need? As a rule, convertibles and cars with air conditioning have the dual-line unit and all the others have the single-line, but GM was not perfect (say it isn\'t so), so it is good tocheck your car before placing yourorder. We do not accept returns on electrical parts.

As a time saverwe suggest that you hook up the unit to your car with it not in the tank. With the ignition on, have one person cycle the sending unit up and then down while another person watches the gauge in the car. The sending unit has tangs that can be bent up or down to give the best full and empty reading on the gauge (you can also bend the float arm). Usually the stock position is the correct one, but again this is a great time saver, as opposed to pulling the fuel tank back out to readjust.

Thank you!
