Offered is a Vintage PackardLighted Swan Royel Blue Winged Hood Ornament.This ornament has the rear scalloped feathers. In a photo you will find the U.S. castednumbers on the inside bottom. Thethreaded mounting holes are ¼-20. I screwed in screws for pictures only. I believe this was for the Packard 1942-48cars. There were no lights when Iacquired this ornament. However, I founda light socket and a 6-volt bulb. I didnot glue it in the hole because you may change them to 12 volt #94127three-watt bulb.

The chrome is brilliant. There is no pitting, blistering or deepscars. A few light scratches fromage. The Lucite plastic wings does showlight scratches and could use polishing.There are no deep scratches or scars in the Lucite plastic that can’t bepolished out if desired. The wings canbe removed from the chrome bird with the loosening of a set screw on theinside.I have seen many mounted on abase and just displayed.
