AutoLoc Heavy Duty Power Windshield Wiper Kit
Bought this to put wipers on an old 57 Chevy Drag Car to get it street legal. It did have everything needed, but no instructions. You have to go to the Autoloc site and request a copy and they will send you a link on email quickly so you can print them out. The hardest thing about this kit is getting the tubes bent just right so the cable moves easy. The motor isn't a high power one so the cable has to move very easy. Use a lot of light weight grease in the tubes and on the cable. The other problem was after running a few minutes, the tube popped out of the motor bracket that you flare the end of the tube to hold it So after re-fairing it and making a bracket to clamp around the tube, it does seem to work ok. This wiper kit works but... the aluminum tubes that support the cable are a joke. Plan on buying steel. If you try even a very small 1 degree bend with a coupling in place the aluminum tubing will snap at the thread as if you scribed a piece of emt conduit. No fluke, all of them snap. Otherwise the power seems sufficient though not overly quiet. This wiper kit is a close copy of mid 50s to early 70s Morris cars.This wiper kit works but... the aluminum tubes that support the cable are a joke. Plan on buying steel. Cable will not slide in tubing freely if it has even the slightest bend in it. Motor will not operate correctly. Wired the motor and switch according to provided diagram and it runs constantly no matter what position the switch is in. I threw the whole thing back in the box and ordered a better quality wiper system.
