May be to weather getting cooler(we will just say it's the sound-deadner keeping hest from the catalytic converter out. Part was able to cut and fit the entire floor of my '02 GTI 2dr. Easy to install, works well!
I took the seat out of my 56 Thunderbird. Installed the heat bearier,double layer. It made a big difference in the heat,as well as the sound. You will have to use spray glue to hold it down.

i bought this item to insulate and quiet a dishwasher. the mfr. wanted twice as much for a cut-to-fit blanket that wasn't as dense. i am installing it soon and expect it will exceed the performance of the factory unit. it was shipped quickly and is as described.
